Another blast of winter hits after a warm week

Warmer weather, no snow in near future

After a cold and snowy weekend in the region, it seems the area should be relatively precipitation free for the next week, as temperatures stay below freezing, but in the positive numbers, until Friday, which will see a significant warm up.

After an unseasonably warm week leading up to it, including a high of 60 degrees Friday, Saturday saw 3 inches of snow drop in Havre, followed by another inch the next day and some serious cold, with a high of 12 and low of 5 with a dangerous wind chill Sunday.

Today will remain cold, with National Weather Service predicting a high of 14 and a low of -3 in Havre, with wind chill values as low as -10, accompanied by patchy fog tonight.

However, Weather Service's wind chill advisory did end this morning, as temperatures are poised to rise and winds to drop.

Tuesday is predicted to be cloudy with a high of 25 and low of 6 with a more manageable wind chill value as low as 0, and Wednesday temperatures will rise to a high of 28 and low of 4 with little wind but continued cloudy skies.

Thursday, Weather Service is predicting a high of 32 and a low of 9 with clear skies with temperatures rising Friday to a high of 39 and a low of 18.

Saturday, that trend is predicted to continue with a high of 46 and a low of 24, with much the same Sunday.
