Peter was born May 9, 1947, in Magrath, Alberta, to Rev. Joe and Magdelena (Wipf) Waldner. In 1948, he moved to Montana and lived at Rockport Colony. In 1963, Peter moved to Hilldale Colony, where he married Sarah Waldner with whom he had seven children, and then to East End Colony in 1977, where they remained until Peter’s death.

Peter was a schoolteacher for eight years, and, in 1983, he was chosen by God to be the minister at East End, a position which he held until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Magdelena Waldner; grandson Levi Waldner; five brothers, and three sisters.

Peter is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sarah Waldner; sons, Darius (Rosa), Jerry (Susanna), and Joe (Ruth) Waldner; daughters, Judy Waldner, Lydia (Ben)Wipf, Kate (Arnie) Wipf, and Rosa (Andy) Kleinsasser; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother; two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Peter will be missed by everyone who knew him. His knowledge of the Scripture and history was endless. He spent hours reading and searching, trying to learn more, which he would then share with everyone who knew him. May he now rest in peace with our heavenly Father forevermore.
