Skylights honored for academic success

Five Montana State University-Northern women's basketball players have received NAIA Scholar Athlete Awards.

Senior Sydney Hansen is from Big Timber and studying elementary education. Senior ShaAnn Danelson is from Scobey and studying business and health promotions. Senior Ryley Kehr is from Columbia Falls and studying elementary education and small business management. Junior Shyan Krass is from Hogeland and studying agricultural technology and small business management. Sophomore Rachel Van Blaricom is from Clancy and studying biology.  

The Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete programs recognize excellence in the classroom by NAIA-member student-athletes who are sophomores or above in academic standing with a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Students must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer. The awards are given annually to outstanding student-athletes in the various sports in which the program is active and their respective teams are eligible for NAIA postseason competition.
