Farmer promoted to finance officer/executive assistant at Independence Bank

Independence Bank recently promoted Lacy Farmer to finance officer/executive assistant at the Havre Branch.

Farmer started at the bank as an executive assistant in 2018. In her new role, she is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all financial matters related to the organization are handled in a responsible and legal manner.  Management of the budget, preparation of various financial reports and ensuring accuracy of such reports are critical components of this position.  The primary role is to provide support to the vice president of finance regarding all duties associated with financial management of the bank.

"Over the past sixyears, Lacy has developed a well-rounded understanding of how the bank works. That, and her drive and attention to detail will suit her well in her new position," Vice President of Finance Dawn Crowder said.

The position will work with the president/CEO as an executive assistant, providing scheduling and daily management of the President's calendar and appointments. "Lacy has exhibited outstanding leadership and reliability. She is efficient, detailed and task oriented and will bring experience and add depth to our finance team," said Bill Keller, President/CEO.

Farmer graduated from Montana State University-Northern with a bachelor's degree in secondary education mathematics. She grew up in Kalispel, but has lived in the Havre community for nearly 31 years. She and her husband, Lee, just celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary and have two black labs, Bella and Cooper. In her free time, she said, she enjoys golfing, bowling, boating, and hanging out with her furry friends.
