Two Havre men picked up top finishes in the annual Long Range Shoot held April 20.
The event, which took place at the Hill County Shooting Range and was sponsored by the Bullhook Bottoms Black Powder Club, was host to 43 shooters.
Malta's Gene Perry won the match with nine out of 10 hits. Havre's Alan Dees came in second with seven shots with Roger Hoppe, also of Havre, hitting seven for third.
The match was a 10-shot event with targets at 80, 230, 400, 675 and 1,000 yards. The two close range targets were shot offhand while the three longest targets could be shot in any position with no rest.
The next event for the Black Powder Club will be a Black Powder Cartridge Silhouette shoot scheduled for May 11.
