Joe Faber, 97, of Forest Lake, Minn., died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at a Forest Lake rest home.
He was buried on Oct. 30, 2002, in Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, Minn., after a graveside service.
Joe was born on Nov. 23, 1905, to Nicholas and Margaret (Molitor) Faber on the Faber family ranch in the Bear Paw Mountains. He received his schooling at the Faber School, St. Jude School and Havre High School.
After his schooling, he returned to the family ranch until his marriage to Alice Lowe. Most of his married life was spent in Minnesota. He pursued a variety of jobs, including being a dairy farmer, chicken farmer and a resort owner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; stepgrandson; parents; brothers, Ted, Paul and Leonard; sisters, Rosella Ross, Theresa Charpentier and Margie Murphy.
Survivors include his stepdaughter, Elvira Morten of Chisago City, Minn.; two stepgrandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren; and sister, Mae White of Selah, Wash.
