The Montana State University-Northern women's volleyball team has added another standout recruit for the upcoming 2003 season.

Alicia Mannin, a 5-8 outside attacker from Lewistown, has signed an NAIA letter of intent to play for the Skylights.

Mannin helped lead to the Lewistown Golden Eagles to a fourth place finish at this year's state Class A volleyball tournament in Havre, where she was named to the all-tournament team.

During her career for the Golden Eagles, she earned Class A all-state, all-conference and academic all-conference honors.

Mannin is the second player from Lewistown to sign with the Skylights. Lindsey Garcia, a 2001 graduate from Lewistown, signed a few weeks ago.

"I like bringing in players from well-trained programs," said Skylights head coach Lisa Handley. "Lewistown has always had a winning program with a strong coaching tradition. I know that Alicia's fundamentals are very sharp, which will give her a head start for our college program. Although she will have to get use to the speed and the power of college volleyball game, which she should do very quickly."
