As April has now turned to May, the league golf season has kicked into high gear. This past week at Beaver Creek Golf Course saw plenty of good weather and very good scores during week No. 3 of men's league golf action.
Obviously, the weather is far from good as both men's league nights were cancelled this week.
Last Tuesday night's round was highlighted by Mike Purkett's rare double-eagle on hole No. 3.
Purkett holed out a seven iron from the fairway on the par-five for one of the most unique feats in all of golf.
Bing N Bobs earned high team for the night with a whopping 27.5 points. The team is composed of Lunar Evans, Howie Stromberg, Dick Scharfe and Bill Evans.
Trent Normandy was low gross for the night after firing a 1-under-par 35 and Larry Johnson, Tom Haas and Steve McLain all shared low-net honors with a score of 32.5.
On Wednesday night, Clausen and Sons earned high team honors with 24.5 points. The team consists of Tracy McLain, Dan Holt, Tom Patrick and Dave Claussen. Tom Adams earned low gross with a 37 and Ryan Divish was low net with a 31.
Upcoming tournaments include the MSU-Northern scramble in Chinook on May 23.
