The Havre Wrestling Club hosted a two-day tournament over Feb. 19-20, which brought 282 wrestlers on Saturday for the freestyle tournament and 162 wrestlers for the Sunday Folkstyle tournament. Havre fared very well, taking first on Saturday in the large team division and second on Sunday in the large team.
The Wrestling club traveled to Butte on Feb. 26-27 in two tournaments. On Feb. 26, the annual Smith/McCarthy Freestyle Tournament was held with over 500 participants. Jordan Schroeder took fifth place in Midget 65A, and was the only individual from Havre who placed.
Havre had several placers in Sunday's Cyclops USAW Folkstyle tournament.
This past weekend, the wrestling club was in Billings for the State AAU Folkstyle wrestling tournament.
Eli Hinebauch and Ethan Hinebauch finished first. Ethan Hinebauch, Myles Mazurkiewicz, Jeff Crawford and Curtis Shandorf all qualified to wrestle for Team Montana at the Middle School National Duals in Indianola, Iowa on April 9-10.
