ELIZA CLEAVENGER obituary

Eliza Cleavenger, 84, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.

A prayer vigil service will be 5 p.m. Friday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. The wake service will begin afterward at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church in

Rocky Boy. Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Havre with burial to follow at the Highland Cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at the Vineyard immediately after the services at the graveside.

Eliza was born Aug. 29, 1920, in Pryor to James Standing Horse and Mary Thornmaker. She was raised and educated in Rocky Boy.

Eliza had 10 children. She was a very kind and generous person with a wonderful sense of humor. People who met Eliza didn't just like her, they loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Lester Bahr and Maynard Bahr; and daughter, Betty Bahr Farley.

Survivors include her sons, Jess Bahr of Great Falls and Gary Cleavenger of Havre; daughters, Velma Bahr and Mona Winchell, both of Great Falls, Joyce Cleavenger of Great Falls, Ethel (Jerry) Artz of Sacramento, Calif., and Avis Chenoweth of Havre; special family friend, Jim Chenoweth; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Eliza's honor may be made to the Feed My Sheep Soup Kitchen, P.O. Box 418, Havre, MT 59501.
