Three Hi-Line men, including a Havre motel owner, were arrested in Great Falls last week on a felony cocaine charge, a Central Montana Drug Task Force agent said today.
Gregory Wayne Munson, 54, of Havre; Jerald Edward Mellem, 60, of Havre; and Donald Ralph Kline, 49, of Kremlin were each arrested on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs on Dec. 14, Great Falls police Sgt. Chris Hickman said today.
Kline is accused of possessing 9 grams of cocaine. Mellem is accused of possessing 5.4 grams of cocaine. Munson, who owns the Hi-Line Motel, is accused of possessing 4 grams of cocaine, Hickman said.
Munson predicted today the charge will be dropped.
“It's all under investigation right now,” Munson said. “It's all up in the air.”
Mellem and Kline could not be reached for comment.
Hickman, who is assigned to the Central Montana Drug Task Force, said the agency was assisting the West Central Montana Drug Task Force in Missoula in the investigation and would not provide further details about the arrests. He did not say whether the three were together when they were arrested.
A West Central agent declined to comment.
The men were released from the Cascade County jail within hours of their arrests after each posted $25,000 bond, Hickman said.
