James E. Galbavy, 62, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at his residence in Havre due to natural causes.
A funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Messiah Lutheran Church with burial following in Highland Cemetery with military honors.
Memori-als may be sent to Havre Fraternal Order of Eagles for charities.Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook. James was born on Nov. 18, 1942, in Butte to Samuel and Elsie (Faechner) Galbavy. He was raised and attended schools in Havre. James served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965. He was also a Havre firefighter for 25 years. James married Kathleen (Kitty) Kase on May 20, 1967, in Havre and they divorced in 1998.
Survivors include his daughters, Keri (Keith) Hanson of Chinook and Kristy Otto of Great Falls; sisters, Betty Olson of Havre and Millie Moch of Oregon; brothers, Sam Galbavy of Eureka and Stephen Galbavy of Box Elder; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
