Coming back just months after a successful show in March, Bozeman's Tears Fall Red is swinging back through Havre tonight as part of a tour.
The post-hardcore five-pieceband will be playing the Montana State University-Northern Student Union Building along with musical brethren Chapter 14, Minus My Thoughts, and locals Picture Bleeds Paint.
The show starts at 6 p.m. Creative Leisure will host a release party for the Tears Fall Red's debut album, "The Exhaustion of Innocence" at 11 p.m.
Tears Fall Red bassist Jared Gabriel is a Havre native who filled in on stage at the Havre show after the band's former bassist abruptly quit. He officially joined the band about two months ago, he said.
Since then, the group has played shows in Montana, Wyoming and most recently in Colorado, where it was well-received by Denver and Fort Collins crowds, Gabriel said.
The band "has the ability to tie heavy breakdowns to melodic choruses that are sure to catch the ear of all music fanatics," a bio on the band's Web site says. The vocals consist of a little singing and a lot of screaming, and the music brings to mind popular bands like Thursday or the Used but with more of a metal edge.
The band will be continuing on the road after the Havre stop, playing in Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Helena and Mills, Wyo.
"The Exhaustion of Innocence" has 10 tracks and was recorded in Bozeman and mixed in Jersey City, N.J. Copies will be on sale at Creative Leisure Friday for $9.95.
The cost for the show is $3 or a can of food.
