The Havre High golf team had a solid showing on Friday at the Lewistown Invitational golf tournament held at Judith Shadows Golf Course in Lewistown.
The Pony boys finished second in the team standings with a score of 338, just a stroke behind Class AA CMR, which finished with 337.
Individually, Brandon Job led the Ponies, finishing eighth with an 83. Teammates Anthony Wirtzberger and Matt Hedstrom finished in a tie for ninth with a score of 84.
Rounding out the scores for the Ponies was Jeremy Jensen with an 88 and Sean Strand with a 90.
The Pony girls team didn't have enough golfers to field a full team for the meet, which was won by Miles City. Individually, Stacey Sheppard shot a 112, while Haley McLain and Tabitha Beck shot a 124 and 128, respectively.
In the JV meet, Havre's Chris Owens led a large contingent of golfers with an 83, while Billy Wagner and Marshall Cartwright each shot 85.
The Pony golfers will travel to the East Glacier Golf Course on Friday for the Browning Invitational.
