A man billed as "The Performer" will regale people from the area with his portrayal of Mark Twain in the next installment of the Hi-Line Concert Association season.
Jim Post will perform "Mark Twain and the Laughing River" Sunday, and will perform for area students in special performances Monday.
Post, a musician, songwriter, playwright and poet, composed 12 songs based on experiences Twain had as a child, and used them to create the two-hour show, a combination of music and dialogue.
Post has recorded 20 albums, most in the folk-music genre, as well as a rock 'n' roll album.
He wrote his first play - "Galena Rose: How Whiskey Won the West" - in 1986. He's also written plays for children as well as Christmas plays.
His performance as Mark Twain has received accolades from many reviewers in the country.
The final show of the Hi-Line Concert Association is set for April, with internationally known performer Robert Sims singing works including African-American spirituals and opera.
"Mark Twain and the Laughing River," which starts at 2 p.m. at the Havre High School auditorium, costs $20 at the door, or people can call Pam Hillery at 265-4455 to purchase a season membership.
