BETTY HAY obituary

Betty D. Hay, 77, former longtime Harlem residence, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Northern Montana Hospital due to a brain tumor.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Harlem Cemetery.

Betty was born April 18, 1928, in Fargo, N.D., to Severt "Sid" and Lillian (Rustad) Dallum. She attended schools in Havre and Harlem.

Betty married Blaine Hay on June 3, 1946, in Hawley, Minn. She has lived in Harlem most of her life, with the last three years in Havre.

Betty enjoyed her grandchildren very much. She enjoyed doing crafts, playing bingo and visiting with her friends at the Eagles Manor.

Survivors include her children, Linda (John) Malley of Havre, Patty (Greg) DeSaye of Whitehall, Connie (Larry) Maize of Tioga, N.D., Blaine Jr. (Stephanie) Hay of Wadena, Minn.; sisters, Harriet Hatch of Bellingham, Wash., Lila Dean of Great Falls and Sharon Wooden of Laguna Woods, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Blaine Hay Sr.; daughters, Karen Simon and Judy Hay; and sister, Anna Mae O'Brien.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
