"Love is the most important thing but bowling is pretty good, too!"

The third week of the season, for some of us, has seen some changes. My "WHAM" team is winding down our business and one more day should do it. If you haven't noticed any changes - you might need to get your vision checked.

Thanks so much to Susie Friede, Dianne Watson, Gwen Goar, Chris Drew, and Lana Herman for the first shift. Last Sunday, Susie Friede, Dianne Watson, Gwen Goar, Chris Drew, and Roxana Mangold pitched in. I've thanked them - now it's your turn.

YABA registration is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the lanes. Fees are due at that time and are as follows: PeeWee $3 and Bantam, Prep, Juniors, and Majors $10. Your children will be bringing home information the week of Oct. 9. For more info and phone registration call Chris at 265-5317.

Women's City will be held in October this season. The team event is set for Oct. 18, and the doubles/singles and team event the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd. You will be using last year's ending averages, or a nine-game average from this season. If more info is needed, contact me at 265-4664. Information has also been posted at the lanes.

I have no birthdays this week, if I missed you, have a good one!

Apple Brown picked a 5-6; Tom Adams a 5-7; and Linda Gerhardt a 3-7 got split pickers.

Lisa Morrell threw the high game of 219 and the 536 series was by Corinne DeVries. Trish Keeler had a 211, 530; Kim Austin 213, 521; Christina 516; and this one a 525.

"Cakes" shot a 255, 559 and Russ Boucher a 220, 573. Lorin Teske had a 224, 552 and Martin Kardell a 546.

Ken Brubaker is officially on the job as of yesterday. You may not see him for awhile as he'll be in "the back" but he will be there. As stated before, Ken will also be running the pro shop.

On that note - things will change - unless he has. There will be no food, drink, or dirty shoes near the bowling area.

KIDS - I suggest you clean up your act. This will be strictly enforced.

ADULTS - if you don't know better, you better learn in a hurry.

Until next week - good kegling!
