It's Tuesday night, the usual time I sit down to write this. It's been a busy day. We primed and painted our kitchen ceiling and got most of the walls done. It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it. It's called spring cleaning, something I've gotten good at since we burn wood all winter. We probably have the toastiest house in town. Ask Lana, she knows.
To cut to the chase, this is not something I would normally be doing this time of year. I'm usually bowling at this time, and with the season winding down, I wouldn't want to take the risk of messing up my already messed up back. Oh well, I'm going to have a very clean house a month earlier than usual.
Next week will be the last time you hear from me for a while. The leagues at Rudyard are done except for the Wednesday ladies and Big Sandy will be finishing tomorrow night. I will try to get everyone's final results in but can make
no promises.
I especially want to thank Shirley and Dani Kline, Judy Spinler, Lana Herman, and anyone else who took pity on me and gave me the honor of writing about them. I really don't know what would have happened to me without writing about bowling. I was in a deep withdrawal before a week had passed. Thanks also to Nora Grubb from Big Sandy for getting the results to me.
It has been a year like I never imagined. I really never thought we would ever have something like this happen to us. We can only look forward to next season and hope there is one. I've missed all of you, missed writing about you, and especially missed seeing you.
