Havreites looking for a new piece of body art have more than 35,000 patterns to choose from at The Cage Tattoo Studio, which opened last week in the lower level of the Atrium Mall. Manager Terry Janshen said customers also can bring in their own designs or ask him to create one. Janshen, originally from Yakima, Wash., said he's a lifelong artist who has been creating tattoos for more than 13 years. Janshen said he has the expertise to do cover-ups, portraits and touch-ups. “We're very clean, very sterile,” he said. Janshen is joined by Josh Horne, who has signed on as an apprentice. The shop also will sell artwork, and Janshen said he wants to add an LCD screen to showcase tattoo designs. He said the shop will soon feature piercings. Janshen said he wants to add an adult section, featuring books and other items, to The Cage. The shop is open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Clients must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent, Janshen said.
