The 2006 Montana State bowling tournament's just wrapped up its second week with the men in Great Falls and the women in Helena.
Several local bowlers fared very well in Week No. 2.
In Helena, Chinook's Jennifer Skoyen had an excellent state tournament. Skoyen is currently in third place in the Division 3 singles competition and she leads the All-Events handicap division. Skoyen also teamed with Leanne Brewer to finish first in the Division 3 doubles competition and Cross Creek of Chinook is currently second in the Division 3 team competition.
Charlene Hoyer of Rudyard is in first place in the Division 2 All-Events scratch division and Big Sandy's Beverly Glass is leading the All-Events Division 3 scratch standings.
The Montana State women's bowling tournament will continue through May in Helena.
In Great Falls, Dan Hybner of Rudyard rolled a 683 and sits in fifth place in the C Division men's singles standings. Dave Watson and Ben Spinler teamed up to finish fifth in the C Division doubles competition.
Local teams also fared well in the team competition. Bill Henry Construction No. 1 of Havre holds down second in the B Division and Heydon Overhead Doors of Rudyard sits fourth in the D Division.
The Montana Men's state bowling tournament will run through May in Great Falls.
