For National Tourism Week, the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee is holding 15-question local history competition. Committee chairman Gary Wilson said he is compiling the questions with help from local history buffs. Three questions will appear in each of this week's editions of the Havre Daily News. Answers can be e-mailed to abrandt@havredailynews .com or dropped off at or mailed to the Havre Daily News office, P.O. Box 431, Havre, MT 59501. The answers must be received before 5 p.m. Sunday. The winners will be awarded items of local interest. Duplicate prizes will be provided in the event of ties. The answers deemed correct by the committee are indisputable, Wilson said, though numerous arguments may ensue. The winners will be announced next week.
