The body of a 47-year-old man was found in a Chinook hotel Saturday afternoon and police say foul play is suspected.
The man's body has been taken to the State Crime Laboratory in Missoula for an autopsy, a Chinook Police Department press release said. Authorities are withholding the man's identity pending notification of relatives.
No arrests have been made, the press release said.
The press release said further information would be released by Blaine County Attorney Yvonne Laird, who could not be reached for comment today.
The Chinook Police Department is being assisted in the investigation by the Blaine County Sheriff's Office and the state Division of Criminal Investigation.
Chinook Police Chief Mark Weber and Blaine County Sheriff Glenn Huestis could not be reached for comment today.
Arlyn Greydanus, supervisor of the major case section at the state Division of Criminal Investigation, said today he could not comment on the investigation.
