Havre Public School's held its annual Pride Celebration on Thursday evening in the Havre High School auditorium, complete with awards presentations, entertainment and refreshments.
The HPS teacher of the year is Havre High School history teacher Jim Magera, who also received a 25-Year Pride Award. It was the third time he has won the award during his tenure at HHS. Havre Middle School band director Dave Carlson presented the award to Magera.
HPS bus driver Eugene Meldrum received the classified employee of the year award. Adam
Toombs presented Meldrum with his award.
Karen Swenson was the recipient of a 35-Year Pride Award.
Greg
Dolven, Doug Larson and Dorthy Peschon received 30-Year Pride Awards.
Twenty-Five Year Pride Awards were given to Zella Witter, Magera and Kim Kirby.
Ric Floren and Linda Kiemele were recipients of 20-Year Pride Awards.
Fifteen-year Pride Awards were given to Molly
Baltrusch, John Barnhorst, Rick Brown, Marie Deegan, Don Holden, Toni McKittrick and Pat Tilleman.
Ten-Year Pride Award recipients were Cathie Bradbury, Gary Couch, Teresa Spangelo, Linda Wallace and Sandy Wilson.
Recipients of Five-Year Pride awards were Dawn Burrington, Dru Earll, Terri Harper, Bill Huebsch, Aubrie Kallenberger, Louellen Lairy, Louann LaSalle, Terry Leonard, Terri Magelssen,; Maria Olson, Dick O' Reilly, Carol Schnittgen and Darla Welch.
Entertainment was provided by three Havre Middle School vocal ensembles. The food was prepared by school food service personnel and served by the Havre High School cheerleaders.
