After the Havre High football team captured the Central A conference championship with a perfect 5-0 record, the individual players were recognized with the announcement of the Central A All-Conference team. Havre had 14 players earn first-team allconference honors as well as six others, who were awarded second-team all-conference honors. Evan Hinebauch was named first team allconference at fullback and an inside linebacker. He was also named the Central A co-defensive player of the year with Brad Smith of Belgrade. Hinebauch racked up 814 rushing yards this season to go along with 12 touchdowns as well as 81 tackles, six sacks and two interceptions on defense. Hinebauch was also named the Blue Pony offensive and defensive player of the year. Michael Erickson earned first-team all-conference as a defensive and offensive tackle. Chris Buskirk also earned first team all-conference honors on both sides of the ball. Buskirk was also named the Blue Pony lineman of the year. The other Havre players named first-team all-conference team included, quarterback Tanner Donovan, tailback and punter Kyle Finneman, wide receiver and cornerback Nate Harada, strong safety Beau LaSalle, linebacker Kyle Rummel and return specialist Chris Brandt. Donovan, Finneman and Harada played key roles in the Ponies’ success on offense this season. Rummel racked up two sacks and notched an amazing seven blocked punts on the season, while LaSalle intercepted five passes and scored two defensive touchdowns. Rummel also received the Blue Pony hit and hustle award. LaSalle got the Blue Pony pride award and Lorren Mack was named the Ponies’ most improved player. Finneman was also honored as a secondteam all-conference linebacker. Mike Sharp earned second team all-conference honors at both defensive end and offensive tackle. Other players awarded second team all-conference were Brandt at receiver, defensive tackle Matt Schnittgen and tight end Jeremiah Moog.
