New Year’s Eve Jackpot Bowling should be a big hit in Havre

If they are not paid for by the end of today, they will go to the first people on the waiting list. Along with Jackpot bowling, dancing to live music is planned in the remodeled and cleaned bar. You better enjoy yourselves that night, Hi-Line Lanes will be closed New Years Day. The youth leagues will resume bowling Jan 7. That is also the date for the start of the PeeWee league. More information may be obtained by contacting Joanne Antley or Chris Drew at 265-5317. The Holden’s Scotch Doubles will be held the weekend of Jan. 27-28. Two shifts will run each day at 1 and 3 p.m. The cost for Bantams, who will bowl three games, will remain at $8. All other divisions will bowl four games at a cost of $10. Deanna Bitz and Carmen Schafer will be celebrating birthdays on Jan. 1 Jackie Mayer and Leo Miller picked 4-7-9s, Marcia Durward a 5-8-10, Marla Boyce, Dianne Watson, and Rick all picked Carlson 5-7s, Julie Skramstad a 3- 7 and Mike Hamilton a 6-7-9-10. Congrats and good bowling to Donny Boyce. Donny, who is in his first year of league play, shot a 504 for 156 pins over his average. Karia Gerky celebrated her day by hitting the high game of 213 in her 545 series. Christy Holden had the high series of 550. Jen McLean had a 200, Tera Verploegen a 506, Marla Boyce a 535 and Norma Mariani a 501. Lorin Teske’s 246 and a 625 by Randy Christofferson were the men’s highs. Randy had a 243, Kurt Shulund a 237, Kyle Fanning a 234 and Mike Hamilton a 233. “Six” shooters were Shawn Mariani with a 610 and Ken Erickson with a 604. Ken Erickson also had the high fourgame series of 804. Ken Riska and Mike Hamilton shot 751s.

K-Lines Junior bowling program will start Sunday, Jan. 7. High school and Junior High keglers will begin at 1 p.m. and grade school at 3 p.m. The Mighty Mights, ages 4-9 will begin Thursday, Jan. 11. Arrangements may be made for families who have children of different age groups to bowl at the same time on the same day. This must be cleared with Shirley Kline, Judy Spinler, Rose Spinler, or Chris Kline. Call 355-4249 for more details. Bill Langel shot the week’s high game of 232 and Jack Jacobson had the series of 593 which included a 221 game. Chris Kline had a 225, Tom Allen 576 and Greg Spinler 560. Todd Langel had the high four-game of 770. Marjie Spinler had a 202 for the women’s game and Jen Dahlke and Helen Inabnit shared the series’ honors with their 494s. Pat Foster converted a 5-6 and 3-10, Shirley Kline a 6-7-10, Marjie Spinler a 5- 6, Rose Ish a 2-5-7, Bev Pugsley a 2-3-5-10 and Stefinie Carlson a 2-7.
