This time it looks like USBC prices really are going to rise

I may have been “all wet” or a little “premature” last year at this time when I told you USBC would be raising our dues to $10. But you can take it to the bank this year. It sounds like it is cut and dry that they will be going up. USBC/YABA has not voted on their raise the last I read but they will probably follow suit. Their increase would amount to $1. As of now they pay $8.50.

Of course, if I have jumped the gun again I will certainly hear about it, and soon!

Lana Herman and Trisha Keeler tied the women's high game last week with their 211's. Lana was back on top with her high series of 554. She also had a 544, Trisha a 526, and Rose Spinler a 526 with a 209. Dani Kline rolled a 208.

Bryan Watson put together games of 213, 213 and 206 for the high men's series of 632. Gordon Standiford shot the high game of 234. Terry Grant and Dave Watson had 222s, Ron Turner a 229 and 221, and David Herman a 233. Gordon Standiford had the high four-game series of 750.

Dave Watson picked a 2-7, Patti Mallen a 3-5-10, Lana Herman a 5-6, Marjie Spinler, Vina Watson, and Terry Hybner 3-10's, Jackie Mayer a 5-6-7, twice and Trisha Keeler a 5-6 and a 1-3-7 washout.

Chase Hadford and Morgan Gatzemeier had the highs for the Majors. Chase had a 161 and 447 and Morgan shot a 142 and 380. Flawless Filters had the team highs of 693 and 2,645. McNair Furniture had the high team game and series of 718 and 2,013 in the Junior league. Zach Anderson had the boys high game of 162 and Tyson Latray the series of 402. Bridjour Han was the girls high roller with a game of 139 and a 340 series. Prep highs were shot by Mark Morrell and Sara Vazquez with a 147 and a 336 and 93, 257, respectively. Steve White Enterprises had the high team game of 491 and K-Lines the series of 1,352.

The Sunday Bantam highs were a 112 and 231 by Gavin Spinler and a 156 and 426 from Tylynn Rettig. Spinler Farms took the team high honors with a 501 and 1,380. Highs for the Thursday Bantams were Kolten Adams with an 86 and 129 and Casady Adams with a 59 and 117. Team highs of 451 and 856 were rolled by Hi-Way Quick Stop. Dane Miller and Paij Peterson were the top shooters of the Mighty Mites league. Dane had a 48 and 82 and Paij a 58 and 113. The team highs of 423 and 850 were rolled by Grand Chick-N-Coop. Rian Gulick, age 6, picked the 2-4-5-7.

BIG SANDY:

Monday Men 2-27: Jim LaBuda scored the high series of 657 on games of 226, 216 and 215. Karl Osterman had the high game of 249 along with a 223 and a series of 633. Rich Cook shot a 232, 202 and 624, Neil Kulbeck a 223 and 613, Tom Stokes a 222 and 594, Ken Darlington a 229, 214 and 590, Colby Baumgarn a 218 and 568, Jerry LaBuda a 563, Lonnie Johnson a 546, Michael Grubb a 545 and Tim LaBuda a 537.

Pollo Loco had the high team series of 2,799 and Kulbeck Construction the high game of 971. Daren Schuster picked the 3-6-7-10. 3-06: Jim LaBuda was on a tear for the second week in a row, scoring a 708 with games of 257, 236 and 215. Jerry LaBuda had a 237, 215, 209 and 661, Neil Kulbeck a 233, 215 and 599, Tom Stokes a 205 and 586, Keith Danreuther a 204 and 586, Colby Baumgarn a 201 and 577, Doug Grubb a 203 and 567, Roger Mead a 553, Robin Pearson a 200 and 549 and Tim LaBuda a 204 and 541. The team of Mountain View had the team highs of 931 and 2.771.

Thursday Mixed 2-23: Linda Rettig had the high women's game and series of 180 and 451. Neil Kulbeck had the men's highs of 243, 219 and 607. Bob Vukasin shot a 214. 3-02: Jenn Fanning had the women's high game of 194. Shane Patacsil had the men's high game of 247 and Karl Osterman the series of 604 with games of 216 and 215. Neil Kulbeck shot a 223, Jerry LaBuda a 211, 206 and 596, and Garcia Duran 204.
