One Havre man remains in critical condition at the intensive care unit at Benefis West in Great Falls, and the other has been released. According to Benefis Healthcare-West staff, Easton Harrell of Havre was discharged on Wednesday. Nick Wright, also of Havre, was still listed in critical condition today. Wright, 29, was a passenger in a 2001 Ford Excursion driven by Harrell. Harrell, 24, was driving eastbound on U.S. Highway 2 about four miles west of Havre when the vehicle, which is registered to Wright, drifted off the right shoulder, Harrell overcorrected and the SUV rolled 1 and 3/4 times, ejecting both men, according to a Montana Highway Patrol report. The crash was reported at 12:07 a.m. Sunday. No citations have been issued, according to the Highway Patrol. Betty Olson, who works with Wright’s mother Gwen Goar, said donation cans for both men have been placed at businesses in Havre. “I know for sure we’ve got one at the Golden Spike (for Harrell),” she said. A benefit dinner for Wright also is being planned, Olson said. The dinner will be at the Vets Club, but the date and time is still in the works, Olson said. She said a benefit may also be held for Harrell.
