High won a trip to Las Vegas and $500 spending money while there. Ron has scheduled a fun tourney for the end of this month. Further information will be here next week. The Youth organization will be holding “The Dewey” No Tap the weekend of March 3-4. Men’s City will begin March 7 with a team event. D/S will be rolled on the weekend. As these tournies near, more details will be available. The question of money has arisen when it comes to Youth tournies. I would like to clear this up once and for all. Normally, any money made goes into a scholarship account that is awarded during the Jr/Adult Handicap tourney held in March. This year the tourney will not be held because of the late start to the season. Instead, we decided to hold the tournie’s so the youth could compete. We did not raise our prices, and as most of you know, lineage went up considerably. Our prices remained the same as were paid three years ago. We decided that even if the association had to eat some of the cost it would be well worth it. We were able to cover the lineage and the awards because of some very good shopping by Chris Drew. What little may be left will be put into the scholarship account. The Scotch Doubles is called Holden’s Scotch Doubles because Shawn and Christy do so much for the youth. They do not make a dime from this tourney, in fact, they put a lot out during it, of which we are very grateful. If I have not cleared these issues up to your satisfaction, please let me know, I will be happy to show you the books and explain it once again. The short PeeWee season will end after the session this Sunday. Joanne Antley would like to thank all of the parents for a real good time and for their help. Dave Hamilton has an age-adder on Saturday. Bob Blazer picked a 6-7-10; Christie Johnson, Joanne Antley, Chris Drew, and Terry Lilletvedt 5-10s; Becky Blake, Paul Chagnon, and Lorna Bjerga 5-7s; Ken Erickson 5-7, 5-10, and 6-7-9-10; and Leila Haigler a 5-7 and 5-6. Sharnai Hamilton’s 209 was high as well as Dana Seidel’s 651. Terry Lilletvedt had a 207; Joanne Antley a 203; Christy Holden a 201 and 531; and Jackie Mayer a 201. Rex shot the men’s high game of 255 and the series of 621 belonged to Mike Hamilton. Mark Hodges recorded a 234 and 602; Chris Pappas a 610; Barry Zanto a 596; Shawn Mariani, Ryan Mapes, and Roy Hamilton all bowled 594s; Don Jones a 593; and Rex a 590. The high four-game of 791 was also from Mike Hamilton. Shawn Mariani had a 736; Ken Erickson 735; and Don Jones a 740.
RUDYARD: Darby Ditmar recorded the highs for last week with a 233, 212, 248, and a 693. Dusty Kline had a 623 with a 234-game. Ditmar also had the high four-game of 890. On the ladies side, Marjie Spinler shot a 210, 215 and a 505. Helen Inabnit had a 155 triplicate. Linda Foster picked a 5-7 and Bev Hatler a 2-5-10. The men and women held their City
