A benefit dinner and silent auction will be held this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. to help Tirzah Bergren’s family with expenses. Tirzah, the premature daughter of Titus and Jackie Bergren of Havre, was born four months early on Dec. 15 and has been doing well in the Neonatal Unit at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls. The fundraising event will be hosted by Team Tirzah, a group made up of friends, family, various churches and community members. The dinner will consist of chili, rolls, corn bread, relish tray and dessert and will be held at the HRDC building. The silent auction has already gained a lot of donated items including airline tickets, free photography, painting, jewelry, power tools, a roll top desk and several gift baskets. A quilt sewn by the Hi-Line Quilt Guild will be raffled during the dinner. To show support of Tirzah, the team has also designed T-shirts with “Praying for Tirzah?” that will be sold throughout the evening. Inspiration for the T-shirts slogan came from Titus and Jackie’s single request pray for Tirzah. Assembly of God Church members wore their T-shirts in support of Tirzah on Sunday and the Hill County Electric employees have also decided to set aside a day to wear the shirts for Tirzah.
