Men’s City Tourney wrapped up Sunday with a lot of high scores being recorded. But all of the following results below are unofficial. E-1 Towing took the team event with a 3,492. Russ Boucher had a 589, Shawn Burrington a 627, Ken Erickson a 644, Ken Riska a 679 and Lorin Teske a 575. E-1’s scratch total of 3,114 was nothing to sneeze at either. Team Sensorsed recorded a 3,458 with a scratch 3,068, and Havre Ford’s 3,363 was third. Bill Dean and Randy Christofferson’s 1,410 was first in the doubles. Dean threw a 577 and Christofferson a 602 for a scratch 1,179. Bill Henry and Frank Peterson were next with a 1,389. First place in the singles went to Dean with a 715 and 592 scratch. Shawn Burrington’s 713 was second followed by a 704 from Ken Erickson and a 680 by Henry. Frank Peterson was the handicap. Allevents champion with a 2,187. Peterson posted scratch scores of 661, 594 and 518. It looks like Shawn Mariani shot the high game and series of 290 and 713. Mariani’s 290 resulted from a solid 10-pin in the first frame. Mariani also had a 249, 242, 659, 654 and 622. Peterson earned awards for his 661 which were a +105 overgame and a +205 over-series. Erickson did some steady shooting with a 235, 644, 234 and 672 as did Burrington with a 627, 235, 620, 631, 236 and 641. R L Christofferson had a 233, 636 and 602; Mike Hamilton a 625; Don Jones a 606 and 237; Ken Riska a 243, 232 and 679; Randy Randolph a 619; Jay Burrington a 612; Byron Eggum a 244 and 668; Dave Wolf a 237 and 650; Ron Tompt a 630; Brett Antley a 231, 624 and 237; and Ryan Mapes a 266, 615 and 637. Minnow Mariani scored a 236; Nick Turner 233; and Bret Preeshl a 234. There were a lot more big scores and I give a “thumbs up” to the men for their great bowling, especially Frank Peterson who has struggled this season like a lot of us. Patti Schwan, Lorna Bjerga, and Melinda Pozega have age-adders on Sunday, and Joe Selby gains one on Monday. Jackie Mayer picked a 2-4-6; Doug Watson 3-9-10; Brenda Nelson 4-5; and Denise Brewer 6-7. Once again, Christy Holden neared the “Six” mark with a 594. Her 212 was the high game. Myrna Morse had a 525; Jackie Mayer a 513; Tammy Pozega a 501; and Deanna Olson a 204. Ken Riska lit up the lanes again with games of 246, 244 and 256 and a 746. Shawn Burrington had a 258; Art Olson a 246; and Roy Hamilton a 657. Riska also had the high four-game of 27. Art Olson shot an 828 and Roy Hamilton an 861.
RUDYARD: Dallas Donoven hit the maples for a 255 and a 681, the highs for the week. Jack Jacobson scored a nice 245, 661; Shawn Rettig 619, 236; Chris Pappas 617; Shane Rice 602; and Todd Langel 601. Jacobson also had the high four-game of 801. Marjie Spinler shot the women’s highs of 200 and 509. Spinler also had a 509 and a182 All-Spare game. She also picked a 5-10 and Betty Marshal a 5-6-10.
