The body of a 26-year-old Havre male was found in a Havre residence located in the 500 block of 17th Street on Friday. The Havre Police Department received the 911 call at 6:26 p.m. Friday, according to a spokesman. The body was discovered by the deceased’s landlord. Two officers initially arrived on the scene then requested investigators. “It is being investigated by the Havre Police Department as an unattended death,” said Havre Police Chief Mike Barthel. “The coroner was called.” According to Hill County coroner Greg Szudera, the incident seems unrelated to two unattended deaths discovered Sunday, April 8 in separate Havre residences. “This is another substance overdose issue in our community,” Szudera said. “There is no sign of criminal play or homocide. It appears to be an accidental substance overdose involving cartridges of nitrous oxide.” An autopsy was not performed. Szudera said evidence at the scene led to the cause of death conclusion. The incident is still under investigation by the Havre Police Department
