Richard A. Larson, 83, a North Havre farmer died Monday, June 18, 2007, at the Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes. His funeral service will be 11 a. m. Saturday, June 23, at the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Brad Ulgenes officiating.
Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the services at the graveside. Richard was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Havre to Ole E. and Anna (Hanson) Larson. He was raised and educated north of Havre attending the Hamblock grade school and graduating from Havre High School in 1940. Richard operated his family farm north of Havre. He enjoyed being with his family of brothers and sisters and their families. After the passing of most of them, he always looked forward to and enjoyed family reunions and gathering with his nephews and nieces. He enjoyed reminiscing about the past, the good life he had and the different people he knew. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was a strong supporter of Flathead Bible Camp.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hjalmer, Orville, Ole and Robert Larson; sisters, Beulah Landskov, Alveda Dow, Janet Larson and Kathlyn Larson; and two nephews, Jim Larson and Ray Landskov. Richard is survived by his sister, Margret Bonderud of Shelby; sister-in-law, Pearl Larson of Havre; nephews, Larry (Sharon) Bonderud of Shelby, Roger (Joan) Bonderud of Ann Arbor, Mich., Hugh Larson of Shelby, Doug (Lorraine) Larson of Havre, Bryan (Judy) Dow of Redmond, Wash., Gary (Martha Ann) Dow of Klamath Falls, Ore., Charles (Shirley) Dow of Post Falls, Idaho, and Art (Julie) Landskov of Tacoma, Wash.; and nieces, Joyce (Colin) Wolke of North Hills, Calif., Lois (Jerry) Styck of Kalispell, Kay (Dick) Wynecoop of Wellpinit, Wash., Karen (Larry) Gookin of Ellensburg, Wash. And Patricia (Ray) Gehlen of Port Orchard, Wash. Memorial contributions in Richard’s honor may be made to: The First Lutheran Church P.O.
