Brandon Jerome Firman, 26, formerly of Cut Bank, died in a motorcycle accident near Cartwright, N.D., Friday, Aug. 17, 2007.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with a luncheon to follow. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Havre at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow at Lyle and Anna Knudson’s. Brandon was born in Ness City, Kan. To Ray Firman and Judy Swick Scofield on Aug. 8, 1981. He graduated from Cut Bank High School in 1999. During his high school years he earned several medals and awards for his cross country and track events. Soon after graduation he enlisted in the army and was stationed with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg N.C. Brandon proudly served his country for five years until his medical discharge. Brandon returned to Cut Bank for a short time before finding work in Williston with Nabors Drilling where he was living and working at the time of his death. Brandon loved to camp, hunt and fish with his friends and family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Darrell Swick, Ray Firman Sr, Violet Swick and three uncles. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Judy and Bill Scofield of Cut Bank; his father and step-mother, Ray and Brenda Firman of Soldotna Ark.; sister, Stephanie (Mike) Moran of Cut Bank; half-sister, Laura Hurget of Coutts, Alberta; half-brother, Allen Firman of Portland, Ore.; and a very special aunt, Jo Ann Maffit of Helena; and one niece and four nephews, and many uncles and cousins from coast to coast.
