Doris (Youso) Sveinson died at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre Sunday,Dec. 2, 2007, of heart failure.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be at a later date. Doris was born in Havre January 20, 1940 to Thomas Youso and Estel la Youso Lawlor. She attended school in Havre and Big Sandy. In 1956 she was crippled in an auto accident that left her on crutches and eventually in a wheel chair. In 1958 she married Bob Laursen in Havre and they had four children. They later divorced. In 1 9 8 3 Do r i s mar r i ed Jim Sveinson in Helena where she resided for many years. Doris enjoyed doing crafts, knitting, reading and watching movies. The past year she resided at the Havre care center. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim; daughter Cindy Cross; sons Tracy Laursen and Russell Laursen; brothers Joseph Youso and Jerry Lawlor. Survivors are son, Rodney Laursen of Chinook; sisters, Evelyn Miller of Billings, Bertha (Dick) Fisher of Park City, Betty Karaim of Billings, Janet (Cliff) Gruszie of Harlem, and Carol (Butch) Curtiss of Montevideo, Minn., and several nieces and nephews.
