FORT BELKNAP
Fort Belknap mourned the loss of their former vice president Darryl Martin. Martin passed away due to complications from asthma early Tuesday morning in Miles City. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. Martin was a Native American liaison for the National Park Service with the Lewis and Clark trail in Rapid City, S.D. Due to his health problems he was glad to be just be stationed at Mt. Rushmore, according to his family. Martin and his wife also operated a tourism based business and they had made acquatintances all over the world. Martin was an alumnus graduate of Hays High School. His parents are Margaret June Martin and the late Harold Martin.
