LLOYD THOMAS HAINES obituary

Lloyd Thomas Haines, 70, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive due to congestive heart failure.

Cremation has taken place and his memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 3 at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. His burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 5 at Fort Harrison Veteran’s Cemetery in Helena. Lloyd was born in Missoula. He joined the Navy and served four years and was honorably discharged. He then entered into the Montana Air National Guard in Great Falls and served in the communications division. He worked for US West, which is now Qwest, retiring after 32 years of service. Lloyd enjoyed his retirement and remained active during that time. In his earlier years, Lloyd was active in the Boy Scouts. In grade school in parochial school he served as an altar boy. During his high school years he was in the first violin section and he was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents in 1991. He is survived by his wife, Wanita of Havre; three children, Susan, Alan and Glen, all of the Seattle; and three grandchildren. Memorial contributions in Lloyd’s honor may be made to the North Central Senior Citizens Center, 2 West Second St., Havre, MT 59501 or to a memorial of one’s choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
