TRAVIS JOSEPH SUTHERLAND obituary ROCKY BOY

Travis Joseph “Groovy” Sutherland, 36, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, in a motor vehicle accident on the Rocky Boy Reservation.

His wake service began at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church with his funeral service at 11 a.m. today also at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Travis was born November 4, 1970, in Havre to Fern Sutherland Doney and Rudy Pinocci. He was raised and educated in Rocky Boy and attended school there, graduating from Rocky Boy High School in 1990. He was living in Butte and working as a chef. Travis loved listening to music and playing basketball. He had a wonderful sense of humor and his laugh was contagious. He loved to tease people and joke around. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Agnes Swan; grandfather, Pete Sutherland; aunts, Sharon Zampich and June Cox; and two cousins, Angie Swan and Jen Decoteau. Travis is survived by his parents, Fern (Gary Doney) Sutherland Doney of Rocky Boy and Rudy Pinocci of Great Falls; his children, Jamie Doney of Rocky Boy, Marshell, Tessia, Angela and Cheyenne Sutherland, all of Great Falls; grandmother, Angeline Sutherland of Rocky Boy; sisters, Rachel Sutherland of Rocky Boy and Tina Pinocci of Great Falls; brothers, Mario and David Pinocci of Great Falls; and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Servics and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
