THELMA LOUISE CYR obituary

Thelma Louise Cyr, 82, died Friday, Aug, 31, 2007, at St. Maries, Idaho of natural causes.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Friday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship l u n c h e o n w i l l b e held at the E a g l e s Club immed i a t e l y af ter the services at the graveside. Thelma was bor n Ma r c h 9 , 1925, to Earl and Basha (Michael) Shea at Midwest, Wyo. She had eight siblings, seven of which have preceded her in death. She married Paul Cyr on Nov. 5, 1944, at Great Falls. Both were living in Cut Bank at the time. They moved to Havre where her husband worked for the U.S. Postal Service. Her husband died April 11, 1980. She continued to work in Havre and retired from Northern Montana College where she was employed in the Kitchen. She moved to St. Maries in May of 2004 to be closer to her daughter and she was a resident of Valley Vista Care Center. She loved fishing, camping and walking. While at Valley Vista, she enjoyed bingo and working jig-saw puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Cyr in 1980; and seven siblings. Thelma is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bill) Thomas of St. Maries; her son, Gene Cyr of Helena; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Hodge Funeral Home of St. Maries was in charge of arrangements in Idaho.
