The votes are in and the king and queen were crowned and their court recognized Wednesday morning in the Havre High School Theatre. Presiding over the remainder of the 2007 Havre High School Homecoming are King Robert The Boy and Queen Jenna McCann. The Boy, who was born in Havre, is senior captain of the Blue Pony football team. He is an all-conference track and field performer. He plans to attend college and to play college football. He has four sisters, Aleisha, Andee, Savannah and Tazya. His father and stepmother are Robert Jr. And Kelly The Boy. He is the grandson of Bobby The Boy. McCann, the daughter of Dr. Paul and Mary McCann, was born in Fort Collins, Colo., and moved to Havre with her family 13 years ago. She has been on Student Congress for four years and is s eni o r c las s s e c re tary. McCann is a member of Key Club, DECA and National Honor Society. She plays soccer and plans to play basketball this winter. She works par t t ime at Maur ices. McCann plans to major in eleMentary education in college. Senior attendants to the queen this year are:
Katie Mariani is HHS student body president and member of Student Congress, DECA and National Honor Society. She is a co-captain of the Blue Pony volleyball team and plans to participate in basketball and tennis. She plans to attend college and pursue a degree in law. She is the daughter of Steve and Julie Mariani and has a sister, Steph, and brother, Marc.
Stephanie Stremcha is the daughter of Dr. Gary and Lorna Stremcha, has lived in Havre for 14 years and has a brother, Corey. She is a member of Student Congress and is student body vice president. Stremcha is in DECA and National Honor Society and is a co-captain of the volleyball team. She plans to participate in basketball and softball. She works part time with inventory for retail stores and helps with sports camps. She plans to major in chemistry and biology and then pursue a career in medicine.
Tiffany Ranes, the daughter of Gary Ranes and Betty Ranes, has a brother, senior attendant Chad, and two stepsisters, Brianna and Kristauna. She is on the yearbook committee and honor roll. She has been wrestling manager for three years and plans to participate in softball. She is employed part time at Novo and the Great Northern Fairgrounds. She plans to attend college and major in X-ray technology.
Tana Tchida is the daughter of Junior and Mim Tchida and has a brother, Coda, and has lived in Havre since she was 3. She is a member of Student Congress and is student body secretary. She has been a cheerleader for four years and is a co-captain this year. She participates in DECA, National Honor Society and is secretary of Pep Club. Tana is employed part time at FYE. She plans to attend Minot State University in North Dakota, majoring in speech pathology with a minor in Spanish. Senior attendants to the king are:
Kyle Finneman is the son of Bruce and Pam Finneman. He was born in Havre and has two sisters, Kari and Jacinta, and two brothers, Chad and Brent. He was in Leadership High School and is a member of Hi-Liters. He has won all-conference and all-state honors as a Blue Pony football player and plans to participate in basketball and track. He won the state 100- and 200-meter championships as a sophomore. He works for the City of Havre in the summer and is a male model year around. He plans to play college football and become an athletic trainer.
Chase Hanson, the son of Ken and Paula Hanson, was born in Havre and has two brothers, Kaine and Andy. He has been a Havre Ice Hawk hockey player for 14 years. He works part time at Cowan and Son Ranch and The Diesel Doctor. He plans to attend MSU-Northern and receive a fouryear degree in diesel technology and a two-year degree in agricultural mechanics technology.
Chad Ranes is the son of Gary Ranes and Betty Ranes and has a sister, senior attendant Tiffany Ranes. He is a member of the Blue Pony wrestling team and has wrestled since he was a freshman, when he took third at state. He is employed part time at the fairgrounds. He plans to attend MSU-N.
Todd Roe was born in Havre to Dana and Cindy Roe and has two brothers, Tyson and Danny. He has participated in Key Club and in Leadership High School. He is a member of the Blue Pony football team and has been a Havre Ice Hawk hockey player for 13 years. He has earned academic all-state honors in tennis and football. He plans to participate in tennis. He works part time at Nalivka’s Original Pizza Kitchen and Seamless Rain Gutter with his uncle, Barry Kato. He plans to attend college to play hockey and pursue a career in pharmacy. Junior attendants are:
Nathan Christianson is the son of Lee and Holly Christianson and moved to Havre four years ago from Dillon. He has two sisters, Katie and Jasmine, and two brothers, Dakota and Charlie. He is a member of DECA, is on the Blue Pony football team and plans to play basketball. After graduation, he plans to major in biology or education at Montana State University in Bozeman and do a lot of skiing.
Karly Evans is the daughter of Mike and Kim Evans, was born in Havre and has one sister, Kelsey, and a brother and sisterin- law Chris and Rachel. She is a Student Congress representative, member of Key Club and is in Leadership High School. She plans to participate in basketball and softball, her No. 1 love. She plans to major in athletic training at the University of Montana in Missoula. Sophomore attendants are:
Trevor Dees is the son of Paul and Debbie Dees and has lived in Havre for 16 years. He has two brothers, Jason and Caden. He is a member of Key Club and plans to play basketball. He works part time at Northern Montana Care Center. He plans to attend college and become a psychiatrist.
Jolee Landgraf is the daughter of Joe and Debbie Landgraf, was born in Havre, and has three brothers, Josh, Adam and Noah. She plays volleyball and plans to particpate in tennis. She is employed part time at Novo 1. She plans to go to college in Missoula with her best friend, Dani, and to become a chef. Freshmen attendants are:
Andrea Nault is the daughter of Mike and Lori Nault and has a brother, Nick. She was born in Havre. She is a member of the volleyball team and plans to participate in track and softball. She plans to go to college after high school.
Ryan Myers is freshman class president, plays football and plans to participate in basketball. He has lived at Rocky Boy for seven years and has a brother, Ryle, and a sister, Alayna Lefthand. After graduation, he plans to go to college and play sports. His mother and stepfather are Jackie Myers and John Chance Houle and his father is Ryan Myers. The crown bearers this year are Trenton Maloughney, 4, and Abigail “Abbey” Morse, 6.
Maloughney is the son of Jack and Kari Maloughney and the grandson of Bruce and Pam Finneman. His sisters are Katelyn and Ali. In his spare time, He enjoys playing football with his uncle Kyle, teasing his older sister, wrestling with his younger sister, and working with his dad and Grandpa Bruce on many projects. He likes to go to the park and story time at the Havre-Hill County Library. When he grows up, He wants to be a Blue Pony football player.
Morse is the daughter of Bridgette Morse and is in first grade. Her grandparents are Bruce and Laurie Morse, her aunt is Alisha and her uncle is Justin. She participates in soccer, softball and swimming and loves to dance, sing and draw. She has a part time job drying dishes and dusting the stair railing. She plans to become a nurse or firefighter after she graduates.
Emcees for the crowning of the homecoming royalty were seniors Casey Donoven, Anni Freier and Annie Zorko. Principal Jerry Vandersloot crowned the king and queen and the Hi-Liters sang. Senior Lindsey Gerky played the piano as the court walked down the aisle. The ushers were juniors Devon Hassa and Michelle Hickman. The homecoming football game between the Blue Ponies and the Browning Indians will be held Friday evening at Blue Pony Stadium. The Blue Pony volleyball team plays Cut Bank at 4 p.m. in the Blue Pony Corral.
