DORIS WINDY BOY obituary ROCKY BOY

Doris Windy Boy, 53, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at Northern Montana Hospital due to heart complications.

Her wake service will begin today at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church with her cultural funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Doris was born Aug. 15, 1954, in Fort Belknap, to Rocky and Olivia (Flying) Stump. She was raised and educated in Havre and Busby and later graduated. She married Ivan Chester Windy Boy in 1980 in Rocky Boy where the couple lived and raised their children. Doris worked at the Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy as the secretary. She then moved to the Rocky Boy Elementary School and then the Rocky Boy Utilities Department with the Health Board until she retired. Doris enjoyed beading, playing pinochle, bingo, visiting with family and friends and loved spending time with her children, nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan Chester Windy Boy on Oct. 11, 2007; and one sister, Debra Stump. Doris is survived by her daughters, Rachael Windy Boy of Rocky Boy, Melissa (Neil Montano) Stump of Havre and Sarah (Dan) Windy Boy-Jones of Rocky Boy; son, Warren Chester (Mandy)Windy Boy of Rocky Boy; brothers, Rocky Stump Jr. Of Rocky Boy, Ron (Theresa) Stump of Lame Deer, Kelly (Violet) Eagleman of Rocky Boy, Willie Strong of Red Lake, Minn., and Dominic (Wendy) Bradley of Rocky Boy; adopted son, Barney (Marcy) Doney of Havre; sisters, LaVonne (Randy) Ellis of Havre, Cynthia (Tom) Koop of Rocky Boy and Sandra Taylor of Rocky Boy; nine grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and life long friends. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
