Forced airplane landing leaves car in the ditch

Some unusual traffic Friday a forced airplane landing near Saddle Butte Estates southeast of Havre led to a car ending up in the ditch, Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Ben Havron reported. Havron responded to the scene after a caller at 7:59 a. m. Friday reported a plane had landed in front of her forcing her to drive off of the road to avoid hitting the plane. The caller’s car came to rest in the ditch The small single-propeller plane was forced to make the emergency landing due to damage to its fuel line, Havron said. The plane was forced to land on 14th Street South about one mile southeast of Havre, according to a law enforcement call log, near the intersection of Bull Hook and Clear Creek roads. Havron reported there were no injuries or damage to the vehicle due to the incident.
