Alyce “Allie” (Krejci) Garrahan, 85, of Havre died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at a Great Falls hospital of natural causes.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a. m. Monday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brad Ulgenes officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. A fellowship will be held at her daughter’s home located at 1020 Cleveland Ave., Havre, immediately after the graveside services. Allie was born June 16, 1922, on a homestead north of Havre. She was raised and educated in Havre. She met her future husband, Howard “Buck” Garrahan, while attending Havre High School. After they both graduated in 1934, they married on Nov. 26, 1941, in Sheridan, Wyo. Together they opened and ran Garrahan’s Greenhouse. After retiring from the greenhouse business, they founded Montana Fossils and spent many happy years traveling and selling fossils. Allie enjoyed crocheting, raising small parrots, fishing and fossil collecting. She made many friends while living in the Parkview Apartments and enjoyed visiting and having coffee with them all. Allie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buck Garrahan; her brother, Joe Krejci, and her sister, Mary Majerus. Survivors include daughters, Patty (Terry) Boucher of Havre, and Dr. Sharon Walen (Dr. Brett Crow) of Boise, Idaho; siblings Bill and Agnes, and three grandchildren. Memorial contributions in Allie’s honor may be made to the Havre Senior Citizen’s Center 2 West Second St., Havre, Montana 59501. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
