Nalani Kai Lei LaCounte was born on Dec. 13, 2007, in Missoula to Nicole Stiffarm and Koshon LaCounte.
God called Nalani home on Dec. 14, 2007, at Community Medical Center in Missoula due to complications of a premature birth. Nalani was laid to rest Saturday in the Eagleman Family Cemetery. For the brief time that she was here, Nalani brought infinite love and happiness to her family. Nalani is survived by her parents, Nicole Stiffarm of Charlo; her father, Kashon LaCounte of Polson; brothers, Jarron Black and Garrison Corcoran, both of Charlo, Koshon LaCounte of Polson, Cole LaCounte of Frenchtown and Shonko LaCounte of St. Ignatius; maternal grandmother, Pamela Stiffarm of Rocky Boy; paternal grandmother, Deborah His Horses is Thunder of Fort Yates, S.D.; paternal grandfather, Larry LaCounte of Missoula, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Arrangements were under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home of Havre.
