EILEEN M. ORDWAY obituary

Eileen M. Ordway, 91, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at the Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Robert D. Grosch officiating. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the St. Jude Parish Center immediately after the memorial service. Eileen’s burial will be held at 3 p. m. at the Highland Cemetery in Havre. Eileen was born July 20, 1916, in Kremlin, to Christopher and Ella (Benson) Vosen. She was raised and educated in Kremlin and graduated from Hingham High School. She married Edwin L. Ordway June 29, 1938, in Hingham. The couple made their home in Kremlin and farmed near Fresno. They moved to Havre in 1965 and retired from farming in 1978, when they sold their farm. Eileen was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She enjoyed sewing, growing flowers, reading and cross word puzzles. She and her husband, Edwin, enjoyed traveling to Apache Junction in Arizona for the winters until 1991. They remained in Havre living at the Eagles Manor for over 10 years. They moved to the Northern Montana Care Center in 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Wilford Raymond Ordway in 1956; and one brother. Eileen is survived by her husband of 69 years, Edwin Ordway, of Havre; two daughters, Sylvia (Alvin) Donner and Janice (Tom) Roberts, both of Havre; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions in Eileen’s honor may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
