PEGGY G. NELSON obituary GREAT FALLS

Peggy G. Nelson, 55, a former resident of Saco, Havre and Shelby and a homemaker, died Monday, March 17, 2008, at Benefis Hospital of complications from C.O.P.D.

Memorial services will be 11 a. m., Saturday, March 22, at the Adams Memorial Chapel in Malta. There will be a luncheon at the Little White Church following the services. Interment of her cremated remains will be by her family at a later time. Memorials may be made to the Boys & Girls Club or a charity of choice. Survivors include her daughters, Minnie Stordahl and April Nelson, both of Great Falls; her longtime companion, soul mate and husband, Tom Taillon of Great Falls; sister Wanda (Duane) Berrisford of Hinsdale, brothers, Richard Eklund of Saco, Robert Eklund of Deer Lodge; grandchildren Fanatasia Stordahl and Curtis J. Stordahl, both of Great Falls; her former husband and friend Jerry Buckley, and many nieces and nephews. Peggy was born Oct. 31, 1952, in Glasgow, the daughter of Alvin C. and Helen M. (Cobb) Eklund. She was raised and educated in Saco. She married Roger Nelson and they were later divorced. She moved to Havre and Shelby to further her education. She and Jerry Buckley raised her daughters in Shelby. She moved to Great Falls and in 2001 established her new life with Tom Taillon. They exchanged rings and considered themselves as man and wife. Peggy loved dancing, horses and all her friends. She had a generous heart and would help anyone in need. She requested that people should wear hot pink or turquoise to her memorial service. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of the arrangements.
