The Havre Central Gymnasium was the sight of free-throw shooting contests this past month. The Knights of Columbus council 1644 held their annual local free throw contest on Feb. 14 and the winners in that event advanced to the March 2 district shoot at also in Havre. The district contest consisted of boys and girls from Havre, Chester and Malta. Girl's winners in the local shoot included Brianna Doucette, age 10, Morgan Mazurkiewicz, age 11, Trisha Kinsella, age 12, Mikell Kinsella, age 13 and Kassie Kudrna, age 13. Boy's winners in the local shoot included, Jase Keto, age 10, Rockwell Kuhr, age 11, Kade Rismon, age 12, Bryant O'Leary, age 13 and Trey Trahant, age 14. Girl's winners in the district contest held on March 2 included Keira Simonson of Loring, age 10, Morgan Mazurkiewicz of Havre, age 11, Trisha Kinsella of Havre, age 12, Alexandra Pratt of Malta, age 13 and Jessica Cole of Malta, age 14. Boy's winners in the district contest included, Jase Keto of Havre, age 10, Kyler Isakson of Malta, age 11, Dell Harmon of Chester, age 12, Kendall Denham of Malta, age 13 and Jake Bushman of Malta, age 14.
