TERRY MICHAEL OTTO obituary

Terry Michael Otto, 51, died unexpectedly at his home in Havre on Sunday, April 6, 2008.

His graveside service will be 11 a. m. Thursday April 10, 2008, at the Highland Cemetery with Pastor Rowlie Hutton officiating, burial will follow. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the V.F.W. immediately after the services. Memorial contributions in Terry’s honor may be made to the Fresno Chapter Walleyes Unlimited Foundation P.O. Box 490, Big Sandy, MT 59520. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Terry was born Dec. 31, 1956, in Warroad, Minn., to Robert and Lorraine (Fortier) Otto. He was raised and attended Warroad Elementary School until his family moved to Big Sandy in 1965. There he finished his education. Terry went to work with the Chouteau County Road Department. He then moved to Havre in 1980 where he worked with Baltrusch Construction until 1992. Terry then went to work for the Tri-Country Landfill, where he became the supervisor. On Jan. 25, 1975, Terry married Kim Ranes in Havre. To this union three children were born: a daughter, Jenny, and two sons: Roger and Charlie. Terry also had two grandsons: Austin and Reece, and one granddaughter, Kamryn Otto, and Riley Jorgensen of Havre. Terry’s family was his life. He loved the campouts and the six in the morning fishing trips with the boys and the campfire get-togethers. Terry was an avid sportsman. He loved shooting guns, fishing and hunting. He always enjoyed the spring bear hunts and pigeon shoots. He loved catching walleye and trapping bobcats. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Otto; uncle Ken Fortier, and brother in-law, Rocky Zaparynuk. Terry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kim Otto of Havre; daughter, Jenny (Chan) Miller of Havre; two sons: Roger Otto and Laine and Riley, all of Havre, and Charlie (Kyla) Otto of Havre; grandsons: Austin Miller and Reece Miller of Havre; granddaughter Kamryn Otto of Great Falls; his mother, Lorraine Otto of Big Sandy; brothers: Ronald (Adele) Otto of Big Sandy, Pete (Marlene) Otto of Columbia Falls, Allan (Cindy) Otto of Havre, Jerry (Debbie) Otto of Havre; sister Madonna Zaparynuk of Big Sandy; brothers-in-law: Tim (Lisa) Ranes of Havre, Gary (Kristy) Ranes of Havre, Richard (Deb) Ranes of Great Falls, Allan (Linda) Ranes of Great Falls; also numerous nieces, nephews and special friends Brad, Kim, Madison, McKenzie and Randy Tommerup are not to be forgotten.
