As it stands, another Havre native is joining the ranks of wrestling coaches at the high school level in Montana. On Tuesday, CMR High School in Great Falls announced that former Havre High School and Montana State University-Northern standout wrestler Aaron Jensen has been named the new head wrestling coach pending approval of the Great Falls School Board. Jensen is 26 and married to his wife, Haley. Jensen is currently a teacher at Great Falls High where he was also an assistant coach under Steve Komac. Jensen has also been an assistant in the past with the Havre High wrestling team, and he has a wealth of high school wrestling experience, both on and off the mat. At HHS, Jensen wrestled under Blue Pony great and MSU-Northern legend Scott Filius. Jensen was 76-34 at HHS during his career on the mat, and during his senior year, he finished second at the Class A state tournament at 152 pounds. Jensen went on to have a solid career for the Lights under former MSU-N head coach David Ray. He was a four-year letter winner and in 2006, he finished eighth at the NAIA national tournament in Sioux Falls, Iowa, earning him NAIA All-American honors. Jensen replaces Joel Auers at CMR, who recently resigned under some pressure. The Rustlers finished fourth at the Class AA state meet in Billings in February just one year after they finished second overall.
