Nathaniel “Nate” Richard Zinn of Chinook, 21, went to be with the Lord May 15, 2008, due to injuries sustained in an oil-rig accident south of Stanley, N.D. The funeral service is 11 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the Lloyd Sweet Auditorium of Chinook High School with Pastor Jack Mattingly and Pastor Courtney Arntzen officiating. The burial will take place at Kuper Memorial Cemetery in Chinook. Following the internment a fellowship luncheon will be held at the Eagles Club. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook. Nate was born March 28, 1987, to Danny and Janet (MacLean) Zinn in Havre. He was raised in Chinook and attended school in Chinook and Havre. Following school Nate entered the work force where he was employed as a contractor and also in the oil fields. Nate loved hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, playing pool and all sporting activities. He was an outstanding wrestler and bowler and received many awards for his achievements. His favorite pastime was listening to music and hanging out with his friends and family. He loved to work and will always be remembered as a hard worker. He was an easy going, free spirited, caring and fun loving individual. He was very outgoing and made friends very easily. In an word Nate was "busy." From the time he was very small, he was always doing something from games and puzzles to bikes and skateboards, never an idle moment. Nathaniel is survived by his parents, Janet Zinn of Chinook and Don Zinn of Havre; brother, Adam Zinn of Chinook; son Jacob Zinn of Chinook; grandparents, Richard and Lois (Bilger) Zinn of Havre; uncles, Bill (JoEllen) MacLean of Chinook, and Gary and Don Zinn, both of Havre; aunt Deb Keeley of Havre; cousins, Jocelyn MacLean of Fargo, N.D., Britney MacLean of Chinook, Shawn (Allison) Keeley and Jennifer Keeley of Havre; as well as numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Angus and Joyce (Wilson) MacLean and aunts Maureen MacLean and Donna Zinn. Memorials may be made to the Chinook Community Chest to help fund youth activities or to a charity of one’s choice. Until we meet again Rest in peace Nate you’ll be in our hearts forever.
