THEODORE COURCHANE obituary ROCKY BOY'S INDIAN RESERVATION

Theodore Courchane, 68, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home from complications of diabetes.

A wake service began Thursday at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with his funeral service at 11 a. m., today at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Havre. Theodore was born March 20, 1940, in Harlem. He was raised and educated in the Harlem area. Theodore enjoyed playing his guitar, working on cars and playing bingo and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by Emmant James Huntley Courchane, Dorthy LaMere, Lena LaMere, Erma Courchane, Ramon Courchane and Mathew Courchane. He is survived by his companion, Shirley Seymour of Havre; his children, Barney Courchane of Great Falls, Teddy Courchane of Great Falls, and Loretta Courchane of Great Falls; sisters, Joyce Courchane of Great Falls, and Myra Courchane of Massachusetts; eight step-children, Jeff (Sue) Seymour of Havre, Charles (Sandy) Wells of Havre, Mary (Barry) Murnion of Chinook, Curtis (Pam) Wells of Bozeman, Mona Wells of Havre, Ivy Sandman of Havre, Roxanne Seymour of Great Falls, and James Seymour of Rocky Boy; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
